Not the flat, the lobe, or curved side, long as you have a point gap of a matchbook cover, give or take 1 rch, should be good enough. Pry open the points, and see if they are pitted and dirty. Crank over the tractor, with the cap and dust cover off. Good points give a crisp blue spark, bad ones give off a splattery yellow, weak spark.
