Not exactly in a field but while brush hoging
the woods road near my cottage I had to stop
when the brush hog suddenly started banging
around inside. Found I had snagged a bear
trap someone had set the previous fall or
earllier.
Several year ago while cutting down a old
hollow oak tree the chain saw suddenly hit
something solid - metal - recked the chain.
Cut the tree 6' higher and no problems. split
the trunk and found an old - pre 1900 - rifle.
Would like to know how it got there and the
whole story. Gun though saw damaged was
wanted by the state historical society as it was
unusual - hand made.
As i said not exactly in a field but interesting
junk.
