Oh yea, in addtion to the $1, magazine pages, & ox shoe I mentioned above, the phone co left 1500 feet of 2-ply small gauge wire lay when they were done rebuilding the tar road. The engineers left all the wood stakes - some quite stocky & pointed. Took me a day to clean all that %%$$% up, found wire bits for 2 years. Do you know what those wire bits do to the livestock? I was pissed, but doesn't help to complain about anything involving this govt - they took 20 feet from our property to start with, they'd probably charge me for the wire & stakes if I say anything. We also found a boat (briefly) and a pickup in the fields. A car & small boat went over the ditch culvert, made enough noise for dad & I to look - the boat passed the car, veered into the alfalfa field. Car took off, came roaring back the road ditch spun up behind the boat, the guy lifted it back on the hitch (wow, looked too heavy to lift!), & took off down the ditch bank. Took less than 5 minutes, don't know what he was so scared of... The pickup jumped our driveway & cleared 4 rows of soybeans before landing... It was FULL of construction & other junk. Passer's by were picking it up & tossing back into the pickup when I got there, driver had been hauled to the hospital. They told me they were looking for his teeth! We actually found them, in my confusion I wasn't thinking of a plate!!!! Wow. --->Paul
