A spreader is a hard thing to put a smv on and even harder to keep it on. It takes a beating and is covered with poo most of the time. I am not silly enough to believe there is a snowballs chance that a little orange triangle is going to keep someone from running into the tractor and spreader. If you cant see a tractor going down the road you sure as heck wont see that smv emblem. It just might help keep me out of trouble when someone does run into the back of a piece of farm equipment while out on the road. Better safe than sorry with all the people rushing around on the country roads these days. bill

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
