Have used a buzz saw with flat belt on my john deere B for years,,, just gotta be careful, like you have to be careful with a chainsaw, Plus my back doesn't hurt near as bad after a couple of hours on the buzz saw, as the bending involved with the chain saw. I say use it, be careful, it isn't much more dangerous than any of the other early machinery that lacked guards, safeties,etc. And used those wicked flat belts,!! Which by the way usually just fall to the ground and roll up when they come off. John Ne.
