I have what is called a dealer account with my local O'Reilly's and it does in fat save me a little bit. On some stuff not any thing on other stuff up to around 10%. My account is cash only so I can have friends use it at times. Now if your told it doesn't matter then the people either do not know the truth or they are dealing with stores that do not do it. At least in the store I go to there are 3 prices. Retail which no one pays, walk in which most pay and dealer accounts which gets you a small discount. Oh by the way the 2 prices on a receipt, the low one is what you pay and the higher one is what you would pay the repair shop if you have them do the work abd buy the parts
