Due to the depression and our briliant governor spending tax dollars to send folks to nursing school on the states dime,my wife's been out of work for nearly a year. She's an LPN. Graduated from the local Community College back when few women wanted to. Now there's a 5 year wait with 365 people on the waiting list. She had an appointment at Lansing Community this morning to see if she could get her RN there. No such luck. They told her the same thing that the local college did. Since it's been over 8 years since she graduated, she has to start ALL OVER. Take all the prerequisits over. She'll be old enough to retire before she could do it all again. I told her she might have to buy a herd of Holsteins and start milking cows again.
