Simple Green or something else?

I am assembling my tractor and as hard as I am trying to not get dirt on the primed parts I am still getting dirt on the parts. If I use simple green to clean the tractor once it is together will it leave a film on the tractor? Do you have any recommendations for something other than simple green?
