People seem to forget that the reason we play the games is to see who wins, and only one team can win. No one can ever take away the talents and achievements of Manning, for he is one awesome quarterback. But it will always be remembered that after the loss, he did not show basic sportsmanship by shaking hands with Brees or any of the others. We should always play to win, however, understanding that losing is also part of the equation is very basic. And when they do lose, they are charged with showing everyone, including our young people, how to take a loss with class.
