The WD45 is a big step above the 9N, and the minimum I'd recommend for your job of reclaiming. I've used the 8N--never liked it. I've run a WD45--wish like heck I still had it. I just bought a D19(70hp early 60's) for that same job. I do have a smaller IH 504(40hp early 60's), but I much prefer the AC. Look at what the locals are using. My neighbor happens to prefer AC's and owns 14 or more tractors. He is a huge supply of information, assistance, and parts. You will need parts. You may have an International guy nearby--then go Red. Read around the web. Look around your county. Call the extension office. Check out the Unofficial AC page. Enjoy.
