I have the same truck. I know a couple people that have needed a new 6.0L with a lot less miles. The 6.0 has good power but is a pig on gas. The 2500HD almost has 1 ton components but the prices for parts are a lot higher as well. You'd be better off with a 1/2 ton for a family truck. Dave
