I'm going with the VAC case. I wore the seat out of a many a pair of jeans on the steel pan seat of Dad's 46 model. We had a small dairy and did custom work for neighbors. It never rested all year. The hole in the drawbar was almost warn through when he retired her. The play in the steering sector was beyond adjustment at about half a round. He used some parts on a "new" 48 model he bought from a neighbor. I wish the oldie had had an hour meter on it. be interesting. He put a super power kit from tractor supply in it around 1960 or so. the old engine still had a lot of stamina when he put her to rest. I'm now 53 years old and dad is 77. He still uses the 48 to mow 120 acres of pasture. He has a 5' rotary and a seven foot IH sicle mower.
