Al Gore is a blowhard that uses more energy for himself and Tipper, then what two dozen normal familys use.
That being said, the idea of "global warming" has nothing to do with all areas getting warmer then usual on a steady basis. It can be just the opposite. I.e., global warming can cause certain areas to get colder then usual.
The prehistoric and historic records clearly show that there have been many natural "global warmings" over time. The question is - if human activity is making it occur faster and who the heck knows? And, if were ARE actually helping it happen, one could argue that as humans, we ARE part of nature and the natural process. If Al Gore truly cared, he and Tipper would stop living like greedy, energy-consuming piglets.
Also, to be technical, we ARE still in an ice age according to some definitions. It just means that X amount of the earth is covered by ice, and much still is. The arugment lies with how much ice needs to exist to qualify.
"Ice Age is a cold period marked by episodes of extensive glaciation alternating with episodes of relative warmth."
So, every time Al Gore lets out a rush of hot air, he's just part of this natural process.
