Watson Tractor?

I was talking with a older man recently who restores tractors of all makes. We got talking about the all-fuel tractors and the Farmall MDA(?) and he mentioned a tractor (I believe he called it a "Watson") that used kerosene and an oil/water mixture for fuel. This stunned me, because it seems to me that water is something that you try very hard to keep OUT of the fuel system. Can anyone shed some light on this.
