I'm pretty new to tractor "collecting" and farming. I didn't grow up on a farm, but live in farm country. What I've learned is:
Tractors should not be bought with the expectation that you will get your money back (let alone profit).
The old machines tell me of a simpler time. A time of craftsmanship, community, faith, independence, and ingenuity.
Tractors are tools for farming and farming is a good way of life. You don't farm to get rich (monetarily). But I can tell you, first hand, that time on my tractor, working the land, trusting in my God, is one of the greatest investments I've ever made. Trusting Him to get my crop in and keep me safe. Farming has brought my family together, my neighbors together and us all closer to reality. Tractors are an amazing part of this. I'm glad they are a bad investment, financially. This way, everybody can afford and enjoy one. And we will enjoy them for years to come. You can't kill old iron! PS. One of the best things about owning an old tractor is meeting all of you folks who unselfishly help anyone who needs it.
