I'll second Dirtpusher's thoughts on the 028's. We bought one new in 1982 and it still runs like a rocket. I removed the spark arrestor screen entirely on ours.
I also have an 026 that runs well, but its nowhere near as strong as the older 028.
I would check on parts availability on the 034 - I think I've seen on arborist.com that some parts are obsolete.
I'm pretty sure that the saws that end in even numbers are the professional saws, those that end with odd numbers (029, 025 - 290 and 250 now) are the homeowner models.
