Well guess there's thousands of rims out there that should explode soon. I have seen so many rims with pin holes rust etc etc etc that have held up for decades with not even any paint let alone being welded on. Just a 1/4 bolt will hold up thousands of lbs if just lifted not jerked on and a rim with small pin holes has lots of square inches of metal holding thing up.
