this saying 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' is usually and frequently used by collectors/old object lovers. But this is just a very subjective approach to objects and it usually contradicts with rarity concept which is more objective term. So, in this field too, we can say there is a war between objectivitism and subjectivitism. By the way, I'd like also to hear "what beauty" you are talking about these "mechanical" arts.
