Great photos. Impressive work. Did you know? Winston Churchill was a union stone mason. Maintained that alliance with the unions all his life even though he was a Conservative. He learned to set stone during his years in the political wilderness between the wars. Was First Lord of the Admiralty in WWI - like our Secretary of the Navy. He had some improvements done on his own estate and took such an interest in the stonework and the stoneworkers that they taught him their trade and allowed him into their Guild. We all know what he did when he returned to power in 1940. You were in good company.
