Remove the right inspection plate and reach in (without it running) and see if the valves will move in and out when you move the lever. Could be dirt or ice in the sump. Lots of people can help down on the N Section of this site. If you haven't changed the fluid in a while I would start with that. You know there are three drains and that the trans, hydraulics and rear end are common to each other.
