Is she getting at least one well balanced meal per day? Some older people lose their mental edge due to not eatting well. Is she alone quite often? With out someone to talk to very often, she maybe is becomiing a bit "scatter-brained" and is losing her train of thought, so to speak. Maybe she is looking for reassurances from you that she is ok and is looking for you to provide her with it. Try to agree with her more.
