Hi Stan, I have 1987 F250 with 140,000 miles, 460 with C-6 transmission used to tow a 25' 5th wheel. Have not had any engine or transmission trouble at all, I do regular maintenance. Doesn't get wonderful mileage but also has no computers to contend with and has been bullet proof. HTH, Pete
