Hi Ray, I use non-detergent oil in my air compressors and small engines. The non-detergent oils I've found at auto parts stores are a lower grade than the detergent oils they carry. Some airplanes still require non-detergent oil, and the quality of that oil is good. It's not cheap, but it's worth it to me. So every so often I stop by the local airport for oil...Al English
