Mourning doves - have them year around. Saw some at our bird feeder (on the ground) this morining.
Michigan tried to have a small experimental hunt a few years back. Do gooders stopped that in court and got a state wide referendum which shut down any hunts permantly. So much for "scientific game management" which is the law here in Michigan. I probably wouldn't hunt them, but stand for those who would.
