Two different things there. You"re comparing gallons-per-hour (fuel use) versus horsepower-hours-per-gallon (power divided by fuel use). With hh/g a higher number is good. It is useful to compare tractors with different amounts of power.
The G produced 38 HP while burning 3.9 gallons per hour. For 9.7 hh/g.
The 560 produced 63 HP while burning 5.2 gallons per hour. For 12.2 hh/g.
The 560 burns more fuel, but produces more power. The higher hh/g figure shows that is also more efficient. It creates 1.7x the power while burning only 1.3x the fuel.
To be fair, the model G was tested with 43-octane distillate while the 560 was tested with 84 octane gasoline. That alone would make it more efficient.
