Look on the clutch pedal side of the bell housing and youll find a hole.Ther is also a mark at the whole(Your may not be too visible.)Put that on TDC.(Or something like that)Assumoing you have the spring clip impulse cover sine thats the most common,move it all the way down(as if were mounted.)Set the mag to no. 1.I guess it close by the cap,whicj has a 1 marked on it.The points should just be opening.Put the two bolts through the drive and coupling and give it a try.Youll be prety close if not prefect.You may have to movethe two bolts one hole one way or the other depending on the tractor.Ive set several the ame way and had to move them occasionally,guess the age factor comes in.
