We have wet, slick ice on top of the snow. When you walk on it you don't know which way your feet are gonna go when they go out from under you. Spent a lot of yesterday chopping ice away from doors so I could get into the buildings. Did a little damage to a couple of them trying to pry them up. For some odd reason my arms and shoulders aren't sore today. Go figure!
Last year I found some supposedly environmentally friendly Al Gore type ice melt at Wally world. It works great but I used it up on the sidewalk. If I can find some more of it I'm gonna give it a try under the steel machine shed doors. Don't want to rust the doors with salt. Jim
