Saying "separation of church and state" sums up several concepts in the Constitution. No, it doesn't have those words verbatim.
There also is a part of the constitution that says:
"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."
Point is, the "separation" is implied in several parts of the Constitution. Just as much to protect religious freedoms as to protect the people from a "state religion".
You are arguing symantics.
As to the original post, I don't know what religion has to do with gun sights. Unless we're talking about "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"
