The military was not buying bible verses. They were buying rifle scopes. They probably ignored the reference to the verses because they were good scopes. The company are not wusses - they are idiots for ever putting the verse references on there to begin with.
Although I believe in Jesus, I do not want to buy a new car with a "Jesus fish" already affixed to it.
And by the way, there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. I know, "In God we trust is on our money, etc., etc. If there's one thing our founding fathers got right, it was keeping religion, any religion, out of the day-to-day decision making process of the government.
