I have always felt that if an informed person offers you something very cheap and it's not hot or something, there is no moral issue. The same goes for auctions. If you are the winning bidder it means you were willing to pay more than anybody else. What is definitely wrong but probably legal is when people offer uninformed folks a lowball price on something knowing that they are taking advantage of them. A lot of old people in our area have been cheated out of thousands of dollars of timber that way. There are certain timber buyers who people speculate how they are still alive. If they find out an old person is starting to get senile and their family is not close, they will move in.
