Ron, my agent told me that my equipment was covered until it is loaded on a trailer. The coverage on the equipment stops, and the farm liability stops at that moment. The towing vehicle liability takes over, but still no coverage for the loaded equipment. This includes my zero turn mower - no insurance if loaded on a trailer - lots of folks don't know that. If it's moving down the road on it's own power, the equipment coverage and farm liability is good.
My son hauls his tractor often, and he has a policy on his tractor that appears to be like you would have on your car or truck. It's covered in any situation. It's a little pricey.
