Never heard of TVO. What you are probably looking for is "distillate". Kerosene is the closest thing currently available. The drill was to start 'em on gas, get 'em good and hot, and shift over to distillate.

Not much point these days. In the 30's, distillate was significantly cheaper than gasoline. Today, kero costs as much, if not more, than gasoline. Besides, you make more power on gas.
