I sure wouldn't have guessed there were so many people that are so stupid as to believe NOT wearing a seatbelt is "safer". Now I see why it was so hard to prove that the world ISN'T flat.
There are instances where seatbelt have caused harm. 1 in 10,000 maybe..... I'll take my chances WITH a seatbelt.
Just for arguement's sake, I've been to 2 funerals in the last 6 months, both where pick-up trucks rolled over, ejecting passengers who WERE NOT BELTED IN, and the truck landed on them, killing them instantly. Drivers and other passengers escaped UNINJURED in both cases. They WERE belted in.
And to the clown who thinks Dale Earnhardt would still be alive had he NOT used a seatbelt, are you that dense to believe anyone could have hit a concrete wall almost head on at 200 mph and walked away? No, maybe his neck wouldn't have broke. Instead he would have gone through the windshield and smashed his head wide open on the freekin' wall. That would have been better, how?
