I wear mine religiously. Yes, you can point to one case in 10,000 or so where seatbelts contributed to a death. I kind of like those odds.
Been in the Fire Service for over 15 years, was primary operator on Jaws for 10 of them, and I've cut people out of some pretty mangled cars and had them walk out of the ER with some bandages a couple of hours later.
I've also helped put remove corpses from relatively undamaged cars.
