I also ride around my place and up my driveway all the time with out a helmet. Year ago I lived in CT. and they had no helmet laws and rode on the back roads with out one but I was also a little more careful when I did or I seem to think I was. But I have aslo been up to 145pmh on a bike so ya at one time pushed the limits a bit much
