I have the 2305 JD tractor. I bought it new 2 years ago. The weight could be more in my opinion, 1475 pounds. 1800 would be better but my tire chains work well and I have some front weights on mine. 70 cubic inch 3 cylinder Yanmar diesel, 1.1 liter engine.
Mine plows snow, lots of it. (900 foot long gravel drive) That hydro-static is awesome for tight spaces. I cut grass with mine and I have spread many many yards of gravel + gravel grading. Well worth it. Now if money was no problem then I would have bought the larger 3000 series. But I had to keep the price reasonable.
