A couple of things. Personally I'd be more comfortable with Farm Bureau even though it's more. Next you might want to think of a prepaid burial plan. The reason being that they can pick a plan and pay about whatever they want. This has up sides and down sides the way I remember but, say.. Your dad picks a plan that has a total cost of 10,000 dollars and wishes to pay 50 dollars a month. In 5 years he passes away. he has paid +- 3000 dollars and you are responsible for the balance. If he pays 75 a month he's paid 4500 and so on. The secret being pick a less expensive plan. The truth be known someone will have to pay for any service of any type. Its a hard subject to discuss but, I'd recommend you do it before long. Check with your local funeral director. Good luck....
