Watts are watts. Usually and up to a point,it's "cheaper" to "ship" the same amount of power using higher voltages. Rather than at lower voltage. Less $$$ copper or aluminum to purchase to carry the same power with the same losses at higher voltages. Lighter smaller towers,cables,supports,connectors etc. 500,000V is common, 765,000 is used but is foul tempered. 1 million volts has been tried the equipment keeps blowing up.
