I can,t figure it. Here in the mid south nobody uses calcium. All dealers install in new tractors is a mixture of 1/3 methanol and 2/3 water. I think it goes down to somewhere around 10 deg or so. Could you not just mix it a little stronger and use it up north. Gets about 8.2 lbs per gallon. Seems to satisfy most everyone. I have no idea of the cost factor is the calcium that much cheaper or do you use calcium because it weighs a little more. I know this has been discussed a dozen times on here, I have always wondred why methanol was never mentioned. You see beet juice, antifreez, windshield washer fluid and host of other things. It is just so common in these parts Methanol is all anyone uses.
