Never heard of a cat drinking the solution, but could be a first time for everything I guess.
Mix 1 can pop, and a handfull of golden goddies. Skunks, opossem, and especialy coon will drink their last time. Never have I found one over fourty five feet awqay from the drink, and often with their heads almost in the drink.
I know of several farmers that the cats sit next to the mixture, 24 / 7.
I have heard of making a paste ball--little pop, lots of golden nuggets, however I never tried that myself.
