In the early 50s, a neighbor usta cut our silage with a one row A-C cutter (model 50, maybe?), pulling it with a new 900 series Ford. The clutch pedal had a long 'travel' and was almost vertical when engaged. He kept a perpetual goose egg on his shin where his foot would slip off the pedal and it would hit him in same place again and again; he had an impressive command of the English language and would give a (verbal) demonstration when he was hit............
