Space is like money. We seem to need a little more than we have. Most of us learn to make do with what we have and adjust our uses to the space available. Proper labeling and storage will reduce the active space needed but increase the dormant space. I like an area about double the size of what I am working on. I prefer the "empty" space to be located equally around the "work" space but have done well when it is all on one side or even in an adjoining room. Best advice, plan ahead and realize it will take longer than you think. Have a go at it, you'll do ok.
