Early models (1977 to 1979?) were built in Dubuque Iowa. Later models (1980 to 1982?) built in Mannhiem Germany. Early models are distinguished by hood shape/style simular to 2030. (essentially same tractor) Later model had a totally different hood/dash. 219 diesel is proned to electraulysis (sp?) Make certain coolant is clean and changed frequently, as well as monitoring Ph level of coolant. Not easy on fuel. Not exactly overwhelmed with low end grunt. Loudest tractor I"ve ever been around. Hydraulic hi/low can be a nightmare if you ever need to split tractor. Handy size, a little heavy for the HP IMHO.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
