Here's a question for you Texans and other southerners. My daughter bought a mare in Houston, from what we know the horse never left the Houston area all its life. So if we bring it to Iowa, say in the spring, will nature naturally bulk up that horse when winter comes or will we have troubles with it when it gets cold? Like to breed it to a good stallion we have up here but don't know if we'll take it back to Texas. If it stays here it will have to run with the rest of the herd in conditions like we're having now.
