Sarg - My 2240 (pre tiger stripe) has been a great machine. I run a 717 (7ft... it handles it very well) JD brush mower with it. The power steering is great (one finger). The two speed power shift is great for mowing. The low mount exhaust is great around the woods. The fully independent PTO is nice. I don't think I'd like my machine much as a serious loader tractor (swept back axle & two wheel drive would not provide much traction, and the forward to reverse ratio/speed changes can be a bit interesting).

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
