My pump quit last week, too. the switch was closed and calling to start. i had power on the switch but the points were apparantly NOT making contact. I shut off the power and used a small piece of sandpaper between each set of points...like you would on an old set of points on a tractor. it workded great! check to be sure they are making good contact. If they are, and you have new wire...either the pump has quit or maybe you do have a freeze.that's all it could be.
