Hey - sorry to jump off the conversation last night, we had to take our daughter to the ER. Looks like bad gall bladder, kind of unusual as she is only almost 18 (in March). Anyway, more Fender amp talk. I liked the older models better, any of the ones with 6L6 output tubes seemed to have the "warmest" sound. I don't remember what the Pro150 uses (too many years out of the business). A lot of newer audio tube amplifiers used 6550 output tubes. The 6550 is a common tube but was never one of my favorites for audio use as they can become microphonic and tend to arc and otherwise fail. The tone of the 6550 seems to be a little more "harsh" to my ear.
