I would suspect it"s the circuit board under the hood. My "98 Chevy pkup does the same thing. I"ve replace that board once and am ready to do it again. You can turn the wipers on, then off. Sometimes they will stop and sometimes they will run for 5 minutes before they stop. Sometimes the washers work and sometimes they don"t. When the wipers do stop, you never know just where they are going to stop. Larry
