I"ve spent several hours on a gas and diesel overall a pretty solid tractor it always seemed they needed a little more umph! Larry806 has the right idea. But it depends on what you want to do with it. It makes a nice chore tractor and good for baling hay and maybe a haybine if on fairly level ground after all they are only 42hp at the drawbar gas or diesel. It was my first modern tractor so I"m partial and it had to chase a redone M and SM I reworked in the Vo-Ag shop. Dad always laughed because we even could beat it to the fuel tank not sure what that meant in those days with farm gas at .26 @gal. and diesel @ .16 :->
