I took hand money on a used car, and the man made 4 payments, then never came back, nothing ever heard from him, for 5-6 years. Finally, he called me, and asked about the car. I told him his hand money had been forfeited, since i hadn't heard from him for so long a time. Guy said he'd been in jail all of that time! I offered his hand money back, but he didn't take it, so i sold the car.
